WHAT DOES WHOLEFOOD MEAN?
Welcome to the wholefoods section of your Heal Thy Self Tribe experience. In this first video, you’ll learn the basics. Wholefood = a complete food. It contains everything you need in terms of nutrition. Many of us use supplements, but they can never compare with the nutrition of a whole food. In fact taking certain vitamins alone in a pill form can cause disharmony in the body.

Lesson 2
CREATING AWARENESS AROUND FOOD CHOICES
Knowledge is POWER! Often we buy things without knowing what’s in them. In this video I want to help you become aware of how to check what’s in your food using an app called Chemical Maze.

IMPORTANCE OF ORGANIC FOOD AND HOME COOKING!
By this stage you have an awareness around food and you’re ready to take your choices next level by going organic! When you buy and choose organic, you vote with your dollar and support organic farmers. If you can’t always buy organic, make sure you wash your produce well with Apple Cider Vinegar.

Lesson 4
MINDFUL EATING
Let’s talk about mindful eating. It’s not something ‘woo-woo’. Eating when you’re stressed out, even if it’s healthy food, is not good for you. Our emotional state and the environment we eat in has a big impact on us. Mindful eating is really about tuning into whether we’re really hungry or just bored/emotional/stressed. Learn more in the video!

EMPOWERMENT ZONE
As we move forward in our health journey, our ideas of ‘healthy eating’ change. I encourage you to keep tuning into your body and seeing what works for YOU. We are all different and thrive on different ways of eating. In the video I share that I find my body really enjoys intermittent fasting and not eating dense foods until noon.
